Tricia Schroeter and her Daughter, Naomi.
Half Moon Bay, CA
As a young mom, Tricia Schroeter borrowed her mom's dusty old sewing machine and tried sewing a Halloween costume for her toddler son, Jacob. At that time, it was a good way to save money, and home-made is always more fun than flimsy store-bought items. She made him a stop sign costume.

Twenty-three Halloweens later, Jacob still prefers home-made costumes and Tricia continues the tradition with her daughter, Naomi.

Several years ago, she started making custom costumes for her friends and family and to her delight, they kept coming back for more each year! In addition to costumes, Tricia loves to make quilts, children's clothes, doll clothes and crafts. Many people have asked her to teach them to sew and she found that she really enjoys teaching as well!

Ella Fitzgerald once said, "Just don't give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong."

Tricia decided she loves and is inspired by kids and sewing machines a whole lot more than working in the corporate world. So, she finally charged ahead with trying to do what she really wanted to do, and TrishTacSew was born.
