Instructor Bio: | Cheryl Taylor loves to make quilts, along with a variety of other fabric projects; think .. storage containers, bottle bags, microwave bowls, and beds for pets to sleep and cuddle in. But her favorite activity is sharing easy techniques with others - some are ones she's improved upon from traditional techniques; other techniques she had streamlined so the process is easier to execute. Sharing the skills she has learned with others has always been important to her. As an instructor, she encourages students to conquer their fears and jump right into the process. Her primary area of expertise is designing and making T-shirt and/or clothing quilts. She has lots of suggestions for simplifying this sometimes-overwhelming task. But she also shares several quilt or project-making techniques designed to help simplify the quilt or project making processes. Examples include easy curved piecing, no-stress zippers, cutting techniques for Stack n' Whack and One Block Wonder quilt designs, and no-paper-tearing Foundation Paper Piecing. |
