Get to Know Your Serger Class

Class Description
This hands-on class is designed to help you understand and master your serger.  We’ll start by covering the basics - learning the arts of your machine, threading, tension, adjustments, and different stitch types.

You’ll gain confidence in using your serger by making a t-shirt!

Bring your own serger and any manuals or accessories it came with and Anya will provide a supportive environment to get you comfortable with your machine.

First Class students will:

• learn how to thread their machine
• understand tension
• understand stitch length
• understand stitch width
• work with 3 threads

Second session and third session the students will:

• cut out the pattern parts
• sewing them into a T-shirt with the serger. 

Skill level

Confident Beginner

Participants should be familiar with their sewing machines, basic piecing and sewing accurate ¼” seams. 

What does class fee include? 

• Class fee covers instructor, facilities. 
• Each Student is required to bring their own sewing tools
• Project supplies need to be purchased separately BEFORE class. 
• Sewing Tools and notions are available on-line and in-store for purchase at TrishTacSew

CLASS TIME
I understand that doors open 10 minutes before class and end at the stated time when you registered. Please be respectful of the start time and only arrive 10 minutes prior to start time.  Sometimes there are classes beforehand or Trish and/or the instructor needs prep time. If you wish to make additional arrangements to continue working on projects once class ends at the stated time, please work out a time in advance with Trish.

DISCOUNT
I understand that once registered for a class, I am entitled to a 10% discount toward the required supplies for that class.  The discount is only valid BEFORE THE DAY OF class and not afterward. 

REFUNDS AND MAKE-UPS 

Payment in full is required to hold a space. Spaces are not guaranteed without payment.  All classes purchased from TrishTacSew are non-refundable unless otherwise specified in writing. If you cannot make it to class, please let us know at least 4 (four) days in advance of date of class to receive store/class credit. A credit will be given and can be applied to a future class. PLEASE do not come to class if you are feeling ill. There are no re-funds for no-shows.  TrishTacSew reserves the right to cancels a class due to health reasons, low enrollment, or teacher emergency.  If a class is cancelled, students will be notified by email and/or telephone, and a class may be rescheduled, or a full refund will be made. There is not an option for individual make-up classes with group classes.
